Spring Studies with Pam French
Next date: Thursday, 20 August 2026 | 06:00 PM
to Thursday, 17 September 2026 | 08:30 PM
Celebrate the vibrant beauty of Australian spring through a focused exploration of still life painting. This four-week workshop invites participants to observe, compose, and paint seasonal arrangements featuring native flora such as banksias, waratahs, gum blossoms, and wattle. Guided by contemporary and traditional still life practices, participants will develop both technical skill and personal expression.
Each week introduces a new study, building confidence in colour mixing, tonal relationships, and brushwork while deepening observational drawing skills.
Workshop overview
Participants will create their own still life set up using a combination of items from home and supplied arranged items practicing techniques that will loosen and warm up before spending 3 weeks working on a large artwork.
