Adult Introduction to Wheel Throwing (pottery wheel)

If wheel throwing is something you have always wanted to learn here is your chance!

Learn the basics of wheel throwing in this eight-week course.
The first week will focus on preparing the clay and centring it on the wheel to provide a strong foundation for throwing a range of forms. In week two you will learn how to pull up the walls of the clay and how to alter your technique to make several simple forms. Week three will be trimming your forms to refine them. Week four to eight will be focusing on completing your pieces glazing if they have been bisque fired.

Please Note: You must purchase a ticket to enter the classroom. No spectators permitted due to limited space in the classroom.

If you have booked in for the Tuesday hand building class, you will not have access to the pottery wheels.
