Campbelltown positions Artists at the heart of imagining our city.
'C THE TOWN Public Art Trail' showcases powerful stories of place that embrace First Nations, deepen connection to Country and amplify diverse voices.
Campbelltown’s ambitious Public Art Program is led by Campbelltown Arts Centre aiming to produce contemporary art in the public domain that resonates locally, nationally and internationally.
The C THE TOWN sneakerprint and mound design was developed by artists Gillian Kayrooz and L-FRESH the LION in consultation with Aunty Glenda Chalker and celebrates Campbelltown’s unique identity as a home to many cultures, languages and stories epitomised in our Dharawal Lyrebird Totem.
Campbelltown’s Public Art program is funded from a variety of sources including the NSW State Government. Special thanks to the Campbelltown community whose ongoing collaboration is integral to the development of each artwork and the entire program.
