Xeni produces "sacred art" mainly with oil paint and egg tempera. She became interested in art at the age of sixteen, after initially pursuing a career in nursing and aspiring to become a medical illustrator. Xeni won the Fisher’s Ghost Art Award's Macability Award in 2019 and 2025. In 2024, she received an Honorable Mention, Sacred Art Prize The Catholic Art Institute, USA. In 2025, their work appeared in 'Bobby’s Container in 'The Key’s Under the Mat' by Mike Hewson at the Art Gallery of New South Wales. In 2021, Kusumitra’s portrait of past CAC Director Michael Dagostino was a finalist in the Archibald Prize. That same year, Xeni spoke on the Arts Activated Conference panel 'Highlighting Diversity: The Impact of Representation on a National Platform'.
