Blake Thomas has a keen interest in animation and Japanese manga pop culture. His work features futuristic and fantasy concepts and characters within dystopian cityscapes. He is engaged with online communities, a personal source of creativity, belonging and inspiration.
In 2025, their work also appeared in 'Bobby’s Container in The Key’s Under the Mat' by Mike Hewson at the Art Gallery of New South Wales. In 2023, Blake held a manga and comics workshop at the Art Gallery of NSW for their Art After Hours Program. In 2020 Thomas collaborated with artist Richard J Bell, designing amenity screens for Rosemeadow’s Rizal Park and was a Fisher’s Ghost Art Award finalist.
