Campbelltown Arts Centre's Incursions bring artist-inspired learning experiences directly into schools and community settings. Our incursion programs are developed around the work of artists previously exhibited at the Arts Centre, including Savanhdary Vongpoothorn, Telly Tuita, Marikit Santiago, Lynda Draper, Barbara McGrady, Luke Sciberras and Karla Dickens.

In our creative incursion experiences students explore artworks, concepts and themes through discussion, reflection and hands-on multimodal artmaking activities, while considering the artist’s intentions and connections to the world, as well as their own lives and experiences.

Each artist-focused incursion will be supported by a dedicated Education Kit, which can be used during the learning experience or as part of classroom learning before and after the visit. Through creative provocations, curriculum-linked activities and discussion prompts, these resources will help extend learning and deepen students' understanding of the artist, their practice and the ideas explored.

Programs will be tailored to the ages, abilities and learning outcomes of each group, ensuring accessible, engaging and meaningful experiences that inspire curiosity, creativity and critical thinking.
