Kiln Firings

Campbelltown Arts Centre’s kilns are available for public hire. All firings are by the kiln loaded hire is subject to availability.

If you have any questions, please contact our Customer Service Team 02 4645 4100 and ask to speak to Creative Learning.

Drop Off and Pick Up is available Monday to Sunday, 10am – 4pm. Work is to be delivered in a box with your name and mobile number clearly labelled. Turnaround is 7 – 14 days. You will be notified upon completion of the firing. Works unclaimed within 14 days of notification will be disposed of.

Kiln 2 – H 660mm x W 640mm x D 640mm

Firings Available

Bisque – 1000°C
Glaze – 1100°C
Midfire  – 1220°C

Dates and times vary | Cost: $179.00 per kiln load.

Terms and Conditions

Campbelltown Arts Centre will NOT fire:
Work that is wet. Wet works explode and damage kilns.
Work that contains foreign material e.g paper, metal, wood.
Work with glazed bases. Glaze sticks to the shelf when fired.
Work that is fully enclosed. Thick and enclosed works explode when fired.

* Large quantities of items, stoneware and custom firings will incur additional fees. All handling and firing of work is managed by Campbelltown Arts Centre’s qualified technicians. However, ceramics is a volatile medium and there are NO guarantees.

Open to all ages but under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.
