The Campbelltown City Council Art Collection comprises over 1500 artworks by more than 650 Australian artists. It is focused on major artworks by leading contemporary artists from, living in or closely connected to Western Sydney, and from around Australia. The Collection grows each year through generous donations, bequests, the acquisitive Fisher’s Ghost Art Award, new commissioned works, and through the Australian Government’s Cultural Gifts Program.
In the last five years, more than 150 artworks have entered the Collection. This exhibition shares a selection of these artworks with the community, celebrating the diverse mediums and themes of the artworks that are acquired.
