Mike Parr – On Manus Island

Campbelltown Arts Centre presents 'On Manus Island' a major newly commissioned artwork by Australian artist Mike Parr.

Mike Parr is renowned as a visual, installation, printmedia and performance artist with a reputation to confront his audiences to respond physically and emotionally. Parr uses his body physically and endurance plays an important role in his practice. This exhibition takes a dramatic turn to this expectation to create a profound statement about the role of the artist and the artwork.

'On Manus Island' will see the transformation of the galleries to create a challenging, yet unexpected experience.

This exhibition will be held in association with a major retrospective at the National Gallery of Australia.
