'Dust to Table' is the inaugural exhibition of the Macarthur Ceramics Group centred on the idea of a collective meal.
The exhibition highlights the collective nature of the group and their shared activities, showcasing individual practice, influences, knowledge and experiences. The exhibition also strives to shed light on the processes and experimental nature of ceramics.
The Macarthur Ceramics Group Inc. began meeting in 2018 and became incorporated as a not-for-profit organisation in January 2021. The group aims to promote and provide opportunities for artists working in ceramics in the South-West Sydney region. To date, the group facilitates regular meetings for artists to discuss their practice and share ideas. Members engage in active discussion, collaborate and learn from one another in peer-supported environments, workshops, markets and coordinated events that foster and promote a vibrant ceramics community within the Macarthur region.
