Making + Arrangements: Vessels & Bouquets – Seniors Festival 2021

making-and-arranging.jpg

In celebration of the 2021 Seniors Festival, Campbelltown Arts Centre is offering a day of creative activity inspired by the 'Budjari Mudjingaal' exhibition. Budjari Mudjingaal, meaning ‘Good Friends’ in Dharawal language, is an exhibition outcome of The Elders Ceramic Group, an initiative established in 2019 as a partnership between CAC and the Tharawal Aboriginal Corporation.

The vessels and floral arrangements featured in 'Budjari Mudjingaal' were produced by the Elders in direct response to the short life expectancy of Aboriginal people and the increasing cost of sorry business. This rich theme of creative empowerment in wake of mourning and remembrance will be present throughout the day, which is set to include; discussions of the last year interspersed with tours, vessel making, flower arranging and a free grazing table of tea, coffee and scones.

Making + Arrangements is presented by Campbelltown City Council in celebration of Seniors Festival 2021.
