Join us at Campbelltown Arts Centre for a free guided tour and art-making activity in celebration of International Women’s Day! Immerse yourself in Marikit Santiago: Proclaim Your Death!, a major solo exhibition by acclaimed Western Sydney-based artist Marikit Santiago.

Through powerful themes of transformation, faith, and identity, Santiago invites us to reflect on renewal and change, drawing inspiration from the memorial acclamation in the Catholic Liturgy of the Eucharist. Her deeply personal works interweave cultural traditions, personal faith, and the diasporic experiences of her Filipino-Australian family, offering a poignant exploration of survival, displacement, and evolving identity.

Led by facilitator Laila Campbell, the guided tour will provide unique insights into Santiago’s art practice. Following the tour, participate in a hands-on art-making session inspired by the exhibition’s themes, allowing you to creatively engage with ideas of renewal, resilience, and cultural identity.

Celebrate the strength, creativity, and stories of women this International Women’s Day. Whether you’re an art enthusiast, a creative spirit, or simply curious, this event is open to all women!
