Looking for a fun and meaningful way to spend the holidays together? Join us for Family Art Day a creative experience designed for all ages to explore, connect, and create!

This special program invites families to roll up their sleeves and dive into hands-on art-making activities inspired by local stories, community themes, and current exhibitions. Whether you’re painting, building, or collaborating on a group artwork, every activity is designed to spark imagination and celebrate the power of community.

What to Expect:

Collaborative art projects for all ages

Guided workshops led by local artists

Opportunities to contribute to a community artwork

A relaxed, welcoming space to learn, laugh, and create together.

No experience needed—just bring your curiosity and creativity! Come for the art, stay for the connection.

Make a day of it and book the creative bundle!

Please note: This is a family-friendly program, not a drop-off workshop. To make the most of this creative experience, children must be accompanied by a parent or carer throughout the session. We encourage grown-ups to join in the fun—art-making is even better when shared!

Dream Big Campbelltown

Join us for a creative workshop to imagine, share and shape the future of our city.

Led by artists L-FRESH The LION and Gillian Kayrooz, the workshop will include creative exercises to recall favourite places and icons, share stories of the past and present, and create messages of welcome, hope and aspiration for our city. Languages, phrases and sounds of Campbelltown will also be gathered, weaving together the diverse voices that make this place unique.

At the heart of this project is the Lyrebird, a Dharawal totem and powerful symbol known as the speaker of many languages. Just as the Lyrebird listens and carries the voices of its surroundings, this workshop invites you to share your own memories, experiences and dreams for Campbelltown’s future. Together we will reflect on the places, people and stories that have shaped our lives here, while also imagining what Campbelltown could become.

No experience is needed, just bring your memories, your imagination and a willingness to talk, draw or listen. The contributions gathered through this session will help shape the Revitalise Public Art Project, supported by Campbelltown Arts Centre, Campbelltown City Council and Transport NSW.

All are welcome. Light refreshments provided.

Colour & Pattern Workshops

Join artist Matthew Aberline for a fun, fast-paced workshop where families (children and adults) team up to design and create lanterns that will light up the Fisher’s Ghost Festival.

Together we’ll explore how colour and pattern work, warm up our creative spirits with movement and music, and dive into experiments with different playful combinations that will be used in this year’s Festival.

These workshops are a perfect entry point for beginners, while also giving more experienced makers the chance to stretch into new directions.

Expect energy, music, colour, and plenty of creative sparks! Limited spots available.
