A quietly spoken and humble troubadour, Uncle Roger uses his gentle voice to tell stories that uplift, entertain and heal the communities he travels through. He has successfully carved out a flourishing performance and recording career, emerging from within an era when Aboriginal performers were just breaking into the music industry. Uncle Roger is a seasoned performer with over four decades of experience and a diverse musical career spanning: cabaret, gospel, rock and roll and country music. He has toured widely both internationally and across Australia’s remote and regional areas with his family of professional musicians. Roger continues to perform regularly with his band Euraba at many big city festivals and is a much called upon artist to uplift and unite Community during NAIDOC celebrations. This evening Uncle Roger joins us for an acoustic performance with his grandson Bareki Knox.
