Tharawal Aboriginal Corporation (TAC) is partnering with Campbelltown Arts Centre (CAC) to present ‘Deadly Funny Workshop and Showcase.’

Context: ‘Deadly Funny’ provides opportunities for creative and professional development, public performance and celebration of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples in comedic arts.

Delivered by the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Deadly Funny aims to: encourage and amplify Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples’ stories; create a series of community performances for local audiences.

Every year, Deadly Funny runs nation-wide workshops, a national competition, professional mentoring and a National Grand Final event as part of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival.

Free workshops are held nationally (up to 20 participants per workshop) and are facilitated by professional Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples performer-mentors.

Workshop participants are invited to present 3-5 minutes of their prepared material at competition heat events. Free BBQ provided.
