Campbelltown Arts Centre, in partnership with NAISDA Dance College, warmly invites you to Burra Bumal, a deadly performance celebrating the creativity, cultural knowledge and artistic achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people from Campbelltown and surrounding communities. Burra Bumal presents original dance works developed by facilitators Kiarn Doyle and Hannah Hansen and participating students, who will share their creative journey with family, friends, cultural mentors, teachers and the wider community. Burra Bumal is the culmination of a multi-stage program that supports young people to explore and express their creative voice through dance, cultural learning and performance. Guided by local Elders, Aunty Annette Houston and Uncle Phil Dotti, experienced artists and emerging Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander contemporary dancers, participants have engaged in a rich process of artistic development, mentorship and cultural exchange.
