Timothy George

Timothy George coordinates a multidisciplinary Public Art Program that takes art to people, extending Campbelltown Arts Centre’s extraordinary contemporary Artistic Program beyond the walls of the gallery into the streetscapes, pathways and spaces of everyday life. Recent projects include Forum Q, (2021) by Feras Shaheen, Spinning the Fire Suttra I, (2022) by Savanhdary Vongpoothorn & The Standout, (2024) by Blak Douglas. 

George has a Bachelor in Visual Arts & Graphic Design, a Masters in Art Therapy, and has worked in the Arts and Local Government sector for over a decade with roles including; creative production, installation, design, front of house, studio management, education and engagement. 

George is a passionate advocate for the centrality of artists in building up South-West Sydney, establishing an intrinsic sense of place and promoting innovation. Likewise, he is committed to authentic social engagement, promoting collaboration across diverse community groups, sections of Council, creative disciplines, and industries.
