Hannah James is currently the Assistant Curator – Contemporary Visual Art at Campbelltown Arts Centre and previously held the role of Collections Officer (2020-2021).
James is passionate about supporting and promoting artists and practitioners within South-West Sydney and working closely with community. James has led the annual Fisher’s Ghost Art Award since 2020 as well as undertaking a prominent role in several recent curatorial projects including ‘Yirran Miigaydhu: Weaving our ways to Country’ (2022) and ‘Macarthur Ceramic Group: Dust to Table’ (2022).
Hannah was previously employed as the Collections and Programs Officer at Alan Baker Art Gallery, (Camden, NSW) in 2019, and has served as a committee member at AIRspace Projects (Marrickville, NSW), 2019-2020. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Hons Class 2, Div 1) from the University of New South Wales and is currently completing a Masters of Curating and Cultural Leadership at the same institution.
