Claire Taylor joined Campbelltown Arts Centre as the Public Art Project Support Officer in March 2026, where she supports the delivery of public art commissions associated with the Western Sydney Infrastructure Grants Program.
As a curator and producer, Claire has over 20 years of experience in Australia across contemporary art exhibitions, public programs, collection management, cultural strategy, and public art. Her background includes roles as the Public Art Specialist for Wollongong City Council and Public Art Curator for two precincts of the City of Sydney’s Laneways Revitalisation Project. Her practice focuses on supporting art in unusual places, innovative collaborations with non-arts organisations, and fostering community connection. Key curatorial projects include 'Dreams Nursed in Darkness'(Wollongong Art Gallery, 2024), 'Myco Logic' (Cumberland Hospital and Parramatta Justice Precinct, 2017), and 'Drawing Lines in the Sand' (Cockatoo Island, 2012).
Taylor holds an MA in Fine Art from Central Saint Martins (where she was also a research associate) and a Joint Honours BA in Fine Art / History and Theory of Art from Camberwell College of Arts (both University of the Arts London).
